Location

South Broadway Neighborhood
Albuquerque, New Mexico

The Albuquerque area was settled by the Tiwa people (Pueblo people) beginning around 1250. By the 1500s, there were around 20 pueblos along a 60-mile stretch of the middle Rio Grande valley. Today, some of the pueblos closest to Albuquerque are Isleta, Sandia and Santa Ana.

The South Broadway Neighborhood of Albuquerque is a historic and diverse area. This neighborhood started to get its stride in the late 1800’s and by the early 1900’s many small businesses helped distinguish this area.

This neighborhood is known for a tradition of community organizing and mutual aid activities. As a social entrepreneur, changemaker and Albuquerque business coach, I’m grateful to live here.
